The Villages Florida Area Real Estate: Latest Gadget for your Cell Phone!

Latest Gadget for your Cell Phone!

Latest Gadget for your Cell Phone!

My wife went shopping today at Staples and came home with a great gift for our youngest child.  However, we decided that we had to try it out.  Now she has to go back to Staples and pick up a few more!

Moshi Pop Phone - The Retro Handset

It is a Moshi Moshi POP PHONE - the "Retro" Handset by Native Union.  You plug it into your phone so you can look really "cool."  Well, at least that is what my wife planned!  When we tried it out, we found that the clarity of the sound was so much better, we are now going to use it around the house.  It would also be much more comfortable than holding that cell phone between your ear and shoulder while you talk!

It also comes in great colors (aside from the purple one that we have).  You can get it in Red, Black, Pink, and Blue (maybe more).  We could not find it on the Staples website, but our local store had it.  Hmmm, how many are we going to need to pick up before they get wiped out!?

Oh my!  I saw these at a local department store, Steinmart.  I was in a rush, so didn't stop to check them out, but now I have to go back.  Thanks for the info and I think it will be very helpful in my home office, because all I use is my cell phone!  Can't wait to pick one up!

Hi Jane - That's what draws they eye, but when it actually works well, so much the better!

Hi Deb - I was just reading some reviews on Amazon, and many people think they are great.  I will see how it goes--very fashionable, at least.  : )

Chris, now that is a different type of HEAD SET!    Does it hook on your ear???

Hi Joan - If you hooked it on your ear, it would probably pull your ear off!  It is meant to be held the same way you used it when you were a teenager--between shoulder and ear.  Doing that same hold with today's cell phones will give you a crick in your neck!  Have a great Thanksgiving!

HaHa, I want a purple one!  How funny is that and I could do with the better sound...

Hi Chris, This is terrific. I am going to suggest this so as many others can see this as possible. Very cool and thanks for sharing. Now you know that I am heading to staples. What a fun little gift. I hope they haven't sold out by time I get there. Too cool.

Have an wonderful Thanksgiving and be sure to have your camera in hand to capture those special moments.

Chris - I must say that I love that latest item of "gee wizzary."  Just the other day, I was thinking of ditching my land line, and going to cell only.  The only thing stopping me, is that I find it more comfortable to hold that ole handset up to my ear during long conversations with family, rather than my tiny cell phone.  I find it so funny that everything old is new once again!

Chris - Because I thought this handset was such a great idea, I "suggested" this blog for feature.  I also want to CONGRATULATE you for having it FEATURED in the Photos group!  I realize it's more about the information than the photo.  But think it's important to get the word out about this special piece of technology!

Chris, That is great!  I guess what once was old is new again!  I have often longed for such an item!  This would really come in handy while I am typing on the computer and talking on the phone!

Hi Everyone - I am really glad that others like this as much as I did!  Sorry, Rob, I haven't seen it in Orange--but maybe in your neck of the woods it is.  : )

THANKS  for the Photos Group Feature, Myrl!  I ditched the land line a few months ago, and was thinking about getting it back.  Now I think I have found the solution.

Thanks again everyone for your comments!  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Hi Chris,

Now that is funny.  I guess what goes around comes around.  It seems so odd to go back to a phone with a cord!  But I would bet it is more comfortable on the shoulder.

Hi Chris,

Tell your wife thanks! Sounds like a great idea for all!

Hi Lisa - It is definitely more comfortable on the shoulder.  Plus it doesn't slip like the hard plastic ones you are used to--it has a nonslip coating on it!

Hi Patricia - My wife appreciates the thanks.  Especially since she had to go buy another one as I won't give this one back.  : )
