Here We Snow Again!

Mini Cooper in Snow

Okay, so maybe that is not my old Mini Cooper on the winding snowy roads of Connecticut.  This is actually a billboard on the side of a building in New York City!  Our family friend HeyMagpie had to take this picture as her family also had a Mini that is now being missed.

But the snow started falling again today; hopefully it will just go away without any fuss . . .

Chris, say it isn't so.  It's supposed to be SPRING outside.  Ya know... picnics and that kinda stuff.  Lots of great photos you are sharing here... very nice.

I've always loved the look of that Mini-Cooper.  I bet it's really fun to drive.

Love those bird shots.  And I'm sorry that the snow has revisited Connecticut.  Honestly, I'm ready for winter to end, in earnest!

Hi Carolyn - It was fun to drive, but I had to get a four-wheel drive (thank goodness I did!).  Then the Mini Cooper came out with a four wheel drive in its new four-door "Mini."  Maybe I will try it again!

Hi Marcie - I am very sorry that it has revisited Connecticut, too!  Hopefully it will be just a few inches . . .

Chris...those are some great photos of Spring snows & nature.  I did notice, however, that the female Cardinal was on the ground & the Male Cardinal was safe on the perch--Hum-m-m.  Other than that minor mishap your photos are beautiful.  New time, please keep that snow in your area, am so tired of the white stuff around MI>
Have a great rest of the week.

Chris -- All I can say is YUK! After the great weather we had last Friday, this is very disappointing.  BUT, it WILL be spring......one of these days!

Thanks for sharing your photographs. I'm glad that we do not have more snow in Maryland.

Life is better when there are flowers to photograph!

Hi Barb - I would gladly send this snow anywhere, but I will try to avoid sending it to you!  Maybe the female is on the ground, by the male is keeping a close eye on her!

Hi Barbara - Yes, we were all tricked into thinking winter was over by (1) Last Friday (ahhhhh), and (2) Spring started on the 20th.  This stuff is just NOT welcome!

Hi Roy - Your flower is the only white that I am interested in seeing right now!  Thanks for sharing it!!

I know - it's unbeleivable.  When will it ever stop?

So sorry you have more of that white stuff falling out of the sky.  But, it doesn't seem to bother those beautiful birds.  Thanks for sharing the pics.

Chris,

Outstanding post today!  I really enjoyed the title and your saying "But the snow started falling again today; hopefully it will go away without any fuss.."  Thanks for sharing your photos of the birds as well.  Some amazing shots!!!

Chris- I almost feel guilty for being here in sunny AND warm Florida, but you have such beautiful birds there... I'm a little jealous!

Nice pictures. i can't believe you're still getting spring snow but then again it is Connecticut.

Posted by Victor Zuniga (Berkshire Hathaway Home Services California Properties) over 7 years ago

Chris, We had rain and bitter cold, and just missed having the white stuff.  Hopefully the snow you got is the type of snow that won't hang around long.  I have to admit though Chris, the snow did produce these wonderful photos!  Great how you got that chickadee in flight!

FEATURED in BIRDS Group!

Do you have any spring flowers yet?

Chris - I'm sorry you're still in the throes of winter. It makes me feel guilty that I'm enjoying the 78 degrees and balmy breezes of Florida------NOT :)

Chris, you get more snow than we do here in Denver!    We could really use some moisture, fires are everywhere!

Hi Debbie - Let's keep our fingers crossed that this was the last snowfall (I want the daffodils to live)!

Hi Sue - Snow?  What snow?  It's dinner time!  : )

Posted by Chris Canfield, Homes for Sale in Oro Valley and Tucson, Arizona (Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage) over 7 years ago

Hi Linda - The birds enjoy posing!

Hi Kathy - I don't think you would trade places, however!  : )

Hi Victor - Yes, and Connecticut just can't seem to get out of this trend!!

Hi Gloria - THANKS for the feature!!  No flowers in our yard yet, but sprouts are definitely popping through . . . BTW, did you miss my wood duck post?  I know you would enjoy that one!

Posted by Chris Canfield, Homes for Sale in Oro Valley and Tucson, Arizona (Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage) over 7 years ago

Hi Lydia - Hopefully your snow didn't last any longer than ours did (it is now pretty much completely gone).

Hi Toni - I really don't blame you, but I am jealous!!

Posted by Chris Canfield, Homes for Sale in Oro Valley and Tucson, Arizona (Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage) over 7 years ago

Hi Rob - I do believe it wasn't that long ago when you were saying how much you enjoy snow.  The tunes have certainly changed after this winter!!  : )

Hi Joan - Yes, I saw that you have been having fires in the Denver area!  I was amazed at how there was no snow.  Believe me, this is NOT normal in Connecticut!  Good luck to you!!

Posted by Chris Canfield, Homes for Sale in Oro Valley and Tucson, Arizona (Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage) over 7 years ago

Chris--Okay I am convinced!!  No more pictures of birds with my phone camera!!  These are wonderful.  We get the same variety of birds, but my pictures look nothing like yours!  Beautiful!

Posted by Pat Haddad, ABR, CRS, ePRO, GRI, Carmel, Fishers, Westfield IN Real Estate Expert (Keller Williams Indianapolis Metro NE) over 7 years ago

Hi Pat - No, a phone camera doesn't quite cut it with birds, but sometimes it is all that is handy! : )

I love your bird pictures, especially the woodpecker. It’s been so long since I’ve seen a woodpecker that I thought maybe they were extinct. Actually, you usually need tall trees for woodpeckers, and we don’t have a lot of tall trees around here that woodpeckers would like. By the way, be sure to stop by and read my Pay It Forward (part 4) post; you have a shout-out!

Posted by Not a real person over 7 years ago

Hi Russel - Well, we have lots of tall trees in our yard--often feels like we live in a tree house!  Thanks so much for the shout-out!!  Your posts are well worth reading!

Chris, I love bird photos any way you take them...  That female cardinal doesn't look too impressed by the snow.  Hope it's warming up for you now!

Hi Silvia - Well, it wasn't much warmer, but at least it was sunny today!  Even the birds are happier!

Chris:

What wonderful bird photos.  You were able to capture a variety of birds.  They don't care about the weather, just the food.  Thanks for those photos.

Chris,

That's the funniest title I've seen in a long time! I love your sense of humor! Sorry to hear it's snowing again, but at least the birds don't seem to mind and you were able to take some great photos!

Keep your wits about you and you will get through anything!

Hi Evelyn - Birds need to eat all the time; and the goldfinch are ravenous (I am so glad to have them back!).

Hi Patricia - Glad you enjoyed the title--I am just glad that it didn't pertain to today--just a dusting.
