The Villages Florida Area Real Estate: The Only Kind of Ice I want to see For the Rest of the Winter

The Only Kind of Ice I want to see For the Rest of the Winter

The Only Kind of Ice I want to see For the Rest of the Winter

The nice thing about Wednesdays is I can just post a photo after a long day!  Thank goodness this has been a crazy busy week--let's hope it lasts for a long time!  I think I deserve a treat, so I am going to head to the Shave Ice stand--if only that was the only kind of ice I had to see this winter!

Sounds good to me!

It actually snowed here in Santa Clarita this winter!

We NEVER get snow here!

What is up with that?!

Chris, Amazingly we are even having that OTHER ice here in the Houston area this year.  We have weather warning again tonight. I'm all for your kind of ice.

Posted by Marchel Peterson, Spring TX Real Estate E-Pro (Results Realty) over 7 years ago

Chris,

I would think that might be challenging.  My youngest, age 11 got a snow cone machine for Christmas.  He was the hit of our Super Bowl party serving snow cones to all the kids.  However, even HE will be seeing some snow tomorrow in Atlanta, so my northern friend, this might be unrealistic.

All the best, Michelle

Chris I hear you, the only kind of ice I’d like to see for the rest of the winter is in my freezer. Of course I also know that’s not very likely to happen just yet.

Hi Ralph - Next we will hear that it is snowing in South Florida - What Gives?!

Hi Marchel - When I lived in the Dallas area, we usually got an ice storm every year; but this year has been crazy everywhere!

Hi Michelle - I think we are supposed to have a break for at least four more days!  Can you believe the schools in Cheshire have already missed 7 days?

Hi Suesan - But the Groundhog said we were getting an early spring!  Did he lie?!

I agree, we've had several days of freeze warnings...lots of trees and plants damaged by the freezing temps.

Chris, I have pictures of icycles on an orange tree! I think the whole country can relate to your picture - but in all fairness, we in Florida have nothing to complain about :)

Chris, Hopefully this coming weeks will not bring much snow or ice and we will be that much closer to the weather when shaved ice (or water ice here) is in season!

It is cold and snowy, but that picture reminds me it won't be too long until it is hot and humid. Now I'm thirsty.

Chris, at least you have a blue sky!  We've had a couple of months of mostly gray!

Posted by Patricia Kennedy, Home in the Capital (RLAH Real Estate) over 7 years ago

Hi Dora and Vincent - I hope we can all remember how cold this winter was when it gets hot the summer (I know I can!).

Hi Frank and Sharon - Even Florida has been bitten this winter; but like you say, it's still not too bad down there!

Posted by Chris Canfield, Homes for Sale in Oro Valley and Tucson, Arizona (Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage) over 7 years ago

Hi Gloria - I just checked the weather, and there is no mention of Snow or Ice for the 10 day forecast (not yet anyway!).  Monday is supposed to be 45--now we will have to worry about the melting . . . (But I will take it!)

Posted by Chris Canfield, Homes for Sale in Oro Valley and Tucson, Arizona (Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage) over 7 years ago

Hi Jason - I'll take hot and humid anytime!!  Iced Tea sounds good!

Hi Patricia - It's been grey here too, but the next 10 days are sounding somewhat sunny.  YES!

Chris, I'm with you on this one - writing a blog post tonight would have been a chore after today. Even my hair is tired!

Hi Chris... we have had 2 ice storms here in Dallas in the past couple of weeks.  Shave ice sounds much better!

Chris,

I think the globe is spinning out of control and its driving us all crazy! May it console you to know that the snow & ice is finally being equally distributed to other parts of the U.S. Yes! We had another ice storm here in Flower Mound today too! School was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and I don't think it will be open tomorrow either. My furnance is out AGAIN today - for the fifth time in less than 40 days. It's very, very, cold in my house tonight.

I do hope you get a break in the weather. Your back must be killing you from all that shoveling and roof raking. You Northern folks really deserve some good weather. On a positive note, I'll bet you'll discover muscles this summer that you never saw before because of the work out you've been getting all winter long!

I was wondering what the picture was going to be, and you know I now can't wait for summer!

Chris ... The snow pile on my back deck was a good place to keep the beer cold and the wine chilled during the Super Bowl. Rick

Hi Maria - Isn't it great to be exhausted from working with clients (rather than from shoveling snow):

Hi Steve - I think Dallas has had more than its fair share of ice storms this year!

Posted by Chris Canfield, Homes for Sale in Oro Valley and Tucson, Arizona (Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage) over 7 years ago

Hi Patricia - Yes it is such a comfort to know that the south is suffering too (not really--I wish we were all having a milder weather).  Hope you furnace problems are solved quickly (like before you need to turn on the air conditioning)!

Hi Chris - I have been anxious for summer as soon as Christmas was over!

Hi Keisha - Glad to put a smile on your face!

Posted by Chris Canfield, Homes for Sale in Oro Valley and Tucson, Arizona (Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage) over 7 years ago

Hi Debbie - This is the kind of ice that you can see around (unless you get a really big shave ice)!

Hi Andrea - Any shave ice stands in New Milford?  : )

Hi Rick - If I had put beer or wine on my back porch during the super bowl, it probably would have slid off and headed down to my neighbor's house (like my shovel did)!

Many of us could use a few days at the beach to go along with the shaved ice. Thanks for sharing.

 Life is good!

Hi Rob - I think I saw that your area was experiencing messy weather lately, but I don't think it was the snow that you wanted to see!
