Scandinavian Saturday

Scandinavian Saturday -

As many people enjoyed my Scandinavian photos from yesterday, I thought I would post of few of Stockholm Sweden from earlier in that trip.  We absolutely loved The Old Town (Gamla stan) where you never knew what you might come across . . .

Carving a Dahl Horse

This gentleman was carving Dahl Horses in front of his shop--you know the really cool [usually] red horses with beautiful markings on them.

Houses in Stockholm

As I mentioned yesterday - I love the colors used in the architecture in Scandinavia!

Image of Stockholm

As I can't find any reference to this "statue" online under Stockholm, I gather it must have been a temporary exhibit.

Not so Ugly Duckling

These two make you think of Hans Christian Andersen; well at least when you are in Scandinavia you do!

Smart Car

This was my first experience with a Smart Car--now I see them driving around Cheshire CT!

Balloon over Stockholm

Can you believe this was taken at 10 P.M.?

P.S. I added the following video because Cindy's comment reminded me of it . . .

Is that Big Bird? Okay, maybe not! But one of the things I like best about vacationing in Florida (need to soon) is going to the wildlife sanctuaries and seeing large birds. Have not run across the great big yellow guy yet, but here are some… more

Real Estate is Local BUT Not All Buyers Are! When I list a property, I have a little chat with my sellers about being flexible when it comes to showings. If you turn away a showing because it "isn't convenient, " those buyers may… more
