Check Out Your Gardens before the Flowers Slip By!

Check Out Your Gardens before the Flowers Slip By!

I was out refilling my hummingbird feeders this evening when I noticed that one of my Bearded Iris plants had started to get buds.  I decided I had better check on my Miniature Iris.  Amazingly, they not only had buds, but blooms!

Miniature Iris

As we work so busily and often leave by way of our garage and driveway, be sure to slow down a little every day and check on your garden.  At this time of year your flowers could bloom and pass within a week, and you would miss them altogether if you don't take a few minutes to check on them!

To give you an idea of how small these iris are (about 4 inches tall), here is the patch with siberian iris plants coming up next to them . . .
